Getting Creative

We have had a LONG, cold spring in Spokane. Just when Lola and I have been enjoying the parks and playing outside, it cooled off quite a bit and has been rainy, so we've been getting creative inside!

Lola also TOOK HER FIRST STEPS a few weeks ago, but I can't get her to do it and take a picture or video at the same time. She gets too distracted! Hopefully a video will be coming soon!

Where is Lola's tongue?

Lola's first finger painting! I found this cool powder that is made from fruit and vegetables that you mix with water to make the paint. Today, we painted with plum! (Lola picked it).

"The Fort"

I got a box and cut a hole for a window in one side that we passed things back and forth to each other for quite some time, along with playing peek-a-boo. Lola also sat in her fort with her baby and read books while I cooked dinner.

I bought this table and chairs at Ikea for $19, but it was unfinsihed wood and I got some paint that matches Lola's high chair to make them yellow. Lola loves playing at the table. We colored together the other day. She also walks around pushing the chair.

Lola...show me your teeth :)

Leavenworth

We were in Leavenworth for a quick visit at the end of May and got to spend time with Dan's family. Leavenworth is a Bavarian town in central Washington, where Dan's Grandma Arlene has the world's largest Nutcracker Museum. We love visiting Leavenworth!

Beca, Lola & I in front of the Bier Wagon downtown.

Lola, hanging out with some of Arlene's largest nutcrackers.

Checking out the museum.

Practing walking through the museum. She's getting closer!

Hanging out with Uncle Andrew, having a snack.
