A November Wedding in Tacoma

In November, we took off for Tacoma to celebrate Molly & Eric's wedding. Dan and I were so excited to be included in their big day. The Rowands really know how to throw a party, and we absolutely love Molly and Eric! The only way we could make it possible to attend this adult-only wedding was from the help of the Bennett family, who graciously watched Lola and Mac overnight, and Bub, who hung out with Hank. We totally scored and felt so lucky to have such great people to take care of our sweet kids. I'm pretty sure all three of them had way more fun with what they were doing and who they were with anyway! The wedding was beautiful and we had a blast!

On our way over to Seattle, we stopped for the night in Ellensburg to spend some time with Dan's family, and Grandma Linda surprised the kids with new snow boots! She's the shoe-giving Grandma and it is THE BEST!

In Seattle, we spent a few days with the Bennetts, exploring parks and playing. We made it to the Teasley's for dinner and got to spend time with Cruz- it had been a year! After the wedding, before we headed back to Spokane, we mad a quick stop by the Flaherty's, bringing them Ivar's, letting the kids play a bit, so that we could meet their latest addition... Emberlee Marie. What a beauty!

Halloween

I was able to chaperone Lola's class field trip to The Academy, an assisted living home, where the kids sang and danced to songs in their Halloween costumes, then trick-or-treated around the room. It was so cute! That afternoon was followed by the St. Als Halloween carnival, Hallowfest. When I take pictures of Lola and her friends, I imagine looking back at them when these kids are graduating from 8th grade together. I love that these kids will be in this school together for so long.

We spent the weekend before Halloween carving our pumpkins and making Gram's special Hoot Owl cookies with Nana- a fall tradition! We spent Halloween in Spokane this year, but definitely hope to get back to Seattle for trick-or-treating with the Flaherty's next year! The Huntoons invisted us to their house for chili and trick-or-treating on Manito Blvd. which was all very fun! This year, the kids were Peter Pan themed- Lola as Tinkerbell, Mac as Peter, and Hank was Tootles- the lost boy. Dan surprised the kids and showed up for trick-or-treating dressed as Captain Hook.

Hello Fall

Ten year college Reunion. SO. MUCH. FUN. Dan and I had such a great weekend hanging with ur college buddies, seeing so many friends at Jack & Dan's bar, and even making our way back to the block where we all lived to knock on doors and see our old houses. Via, Loewy and Rowlands- you are my people for life. What a great time!!!

Fall is always busy for us, there are birthdays, so many trips to the pumpkin patch, apple picking, pumpkin carving, the Flaherty fall visit, Halloween, and that's just October! We squeezed in the GU 10 year reunion weekend, Hazel's baptism, as well as our other every day shenanigans. Summer is definitely my favorite time of year, but there's something so wonderful about pumpkin doughnuts, warm apple cider, and the leaves changing colors that make October magical.
