Recap

Wow- I have been totally off the blogging train the past three weeks. Lola has had the stomach flu  twice this month (ugh- making it four times this year already) we are packing up a lot of our house to move out and stage it (anyone want to buy a cute house in Spokane?) and have been meeting a lot with our builder working on the design of our new house up at Peone Prairie- crazy and exciting! Here's a random picture catch-up of what's been going on around our neck of the woods.

Watching the Seahawks Superbowl parade and hoping to see Uncle Nolan :)

Dinner with some of our besties: Ellie & Perry
Nana's glasses and some headphones- nice look, Mac
Valentine cookie baking with Nana. Her sugar cookies are THE.BEST.

These two are kindred spirits. I am so happy Lola loves baking with Nana. She's learning all of her tricks!
A visit from Auntie Beca & Grandma Linda. Yoga time!

 A sleepover at Bub & Nana's...
...means there is a lonely robe at home waiting for this guy. Totally his idea. I love him!
Learning the tricks from his sister and quickly becoming a kitchen helper
Valentine's treat for Lola - Some Piggy Paint for a pedi/mani
 A new backpack for Mac.
Mr. Independent.

Auntie Beca & Teal stayed with us when on their way from moving her from Leavenworth to Austin. Lola wore her "Austinite" t-shirt in support of Beca's new adventure!
Loving his new shovel and the snow.
 Valentine's PJs from Nana.
Mac has loved wearing a headband of Lola's for quite some time, but now he will put three or four on.
Oh, how I love my sweet sleeping babes.
 They are so perfect.

Painting Days

Feeling a bit housebound with the temperatures below 11 degrees, we've been painting a lot. It's amazing how focused both Mac & Lola are while painting. Besides sleeping, it is the quietest thing they do. Lola is so thoughtful about the colors and strokes. Mac is such an explorer, and usually ends up painting his hands, his feet; the other day, I left the room to grab a paper towel (a ten second task) and returned to him painting the inside of his ear with purple paint. Lola's response: "I don't know why he does things like that!" They are so good for each other.

Leo

Lola and Dan built a perfect little snowman in Nana & Bub's backyard. She named him Leo.
Mac was along for the adventure but never made it past the patio. Eating snow is such a delicious distraction.

Snow Days

We finally got REAL snow in Spokane! When we woke up to snow, the kids and I decided to cancel all plans and head to Cannon Hill to enjoy the snow, and take pictures for Lola's "Season's Scrapbook" that she's been working on. I took a few pictures of both kids, but Lola- the budding photographer- did a great job taking the rest.
The "red tree"
 The pond

 Gram & Papa's bench
The most important part of enjoying the snow...eating it.
