Celebrations and Special Meetings

October is always busy. There are so many birthdays, so many visitors,
and so many pumpkins to pick.
I told Mac that it was birthday weekend and he kicked off the weekend by dancing for me. Always ready to entertain ;)

A BIG celebration: Dan made Partner at his firm. We celebrated as any family with a two week old baby would...with ice cream sundaes at home! He is pretty amazing and works so hard.
Celebrating Nana's birthday. The kids each gave her a "date". Mac will be taking Nana out for ice cream at the Scoop and Lola will be bringing her to The Nutcracker.

Fall fun with the Flaherty's. We have done this trip every year since Lola and Kinslee were 7 months old. Another one for the books...

Hank got to meet Uncle Denny, Joe, Molly & Sully.
Every time Joe has met one of my kids, the first thing he does is pet their head, and usually kisses it. Hank got his signature "hello" from Joe :)

Another Greenbluff trip with Lola's kindergarten class. Since the aunties were in town entertaining Mac, I got to chaperone and meet Lola's friends. She has a pretty sweet class.

A quick, but fun visit from Auntie Beca and Uncle Teal. They played with the kids, took Mac to the children's museum, made Po'Boy sandwiches with the kids help. Can't wait to see them in Leavenworth for the Christmas Tree Lighting!

Spanish Auntie

Auntie Rachy has been gone for over a year, living in Madrid. Since she isn't teaching this year, the fall was a perfect time for her to come for a long visit to meet Hank and spend some much-needed quality time with Lola and Mac. After having Dan, Nana & Bub helping out for two weeks, getting three more weeks of having help from Rach was so much fun, and very much appreciated!

She got to pick up Lola from school, take Mac to gymnastics and music, have special dates with the kids and had a lot of snuggle time with Hank. James, thanks for sharing Rach with us and please feel free to send us our way ANY TIME ;)

A Day at the Fair

After taking the kids to the Spokane County Fair last year, Mac remembered the most important parts... the racing pigs and the cotton candy. He had been asking when it would be time to go to the fair again, and since it was at the same time that Hank was born, got took them while I stayed home for some newborn snuggles!

Newborn Photos

Our sweet friend, and amazing photographer, Lauralee, drove over from Seattle for a night so that she could capture Hank and all his newborn sweetness. Hands down, best newborn photo shoot ever.
