Leavenworth Icefest

A year ago, we were heading to Hawaii with the Bennett family, and since we didn't plan on a tropical vacation this year, we thought a snowy adventure in Leavenworth would be fun. It turns out we are having an extremely mild winter and there is no snow in Leavenworth, but we still had a wonderful time with them, along with Beca, Andrew, and Grandma Arlene.
 Breakfast with Grandma Arlene
Mac participating in coconut bowling and won a balloon. He was so proud of his prize!

Uncle Andrew cuddle time.

Go Seahawks! Night before the big game, and now...on to the Superbowl!!!
 Dancing in the park.

We drove up the Icicle looking for snow in the mountains, but came across some frosty trees and a patch of ice, which entertained the kids for over an hour!
 A little ice skating

 Slippery sledding

 Dan & Taco
 Love these five kids.

The Bennett Family - love these guys

 Reggae dancing with Beca
 Grandma Arlene's building in Leavenworth.
Tool Time with Uncle Andrew! Andrew taught Lola about all of the tools in Beca's toolkit.

One last adventure on Blackbird Island before heading back home. So long for now Leavenworth & Bennett family. See you both soon.

Snowflakes... and another favorite subject

I promised Lola that when we took down our Christmas decorations, I would show her how to make paper snowflakes for our bay window. She was doing it so independently that I grabbed my camera for another opportunity to play with the settings. I love her expressions in these photos. True amazement and excitement. Lola finds so much joy in the little things.

The sweetest, easiest kid to be around. Love her.

Daddy snuggles & birthday

Dan is such a great dad, and loves being busy and active with his kiddos, but he always says that snuggling with his kids is his favorite thing to do. Mac is loving snuggling and watching football (for the five minutes that he will stay in one place)
This little girl will snuggle her daddy for any reason or occasion.
Lola and Mac made Dan a picture of a cake with 30 candles on it in his Dad Book.

The kids gave him a circular saw for the many projects we will have out at Peone.
 The 30 year old.
Fruited pizza for a birthday treat made by me and Lola. Round one, Mac blew the candle out, making us all laugh. Round two, he "helped" Dan :)

a favorite subject

I've had my new, amazing camera for awhile but haven't ventured off of the Auto settings. After reading an article on Pinterest, I decided to try out some of the features on my camera. One of my favorite subjects...this sweet boy during one of his favorite activities- bath time.
Smiling at the camera
 Those lips & cheeks
 Love this expression
My favorite.
