Christmas Time!

Christmas 2012
 Christmas Eve Snowman!
What more could you ask for than waking up to a fresh snow on Christmas Eve?
Lola asked for a "snow girl"

Christmas Eve mass and dinner with the fam at Anthony's. De-li-cious!
Before we left Anthony's, Lola led a Santa cheer in the parking lot :)
 Twas the night before Christmas...
Happy Christmas Morning!

Santa brought books and toys for Lola and Mac. Lola got two puzzles, a robe, number magnets, and a Rudolph Pez. Mac loves his bead maze and shape sorter. Both kids got Zags gear, and Lola's favorite gifts were probably her doll carrier and fairy dolls.
Off to relax at Nana and Bub's house for the rest of the day!

Mac enjoyed Lola's ice cream play set that she got from Mama Bear.
James loved the wooden airplane that Lola put together and painted for him.

A big gift for James. Stevo made him a fly rod.

Happy Christmas to all! And to all a good night.

The Malde Boys

We had a great visit with the Malde boys, their mom, grandma, and great-grandma a few days before Christmas. Jessica and I have known each other for years through Jill Gotzian, my mom's best friend. Jojo Gotzian, her grandmother, is one of my most favorite people; the mother of six kids, she absolutely adores children and I always feel a little like I am around my Gram when I'm with her.

I hope these guys move back to Spokane soon so our kiddos can spend more time playing together. They enjoy each other so much!

 New friends. Mac and Parker.
Old friends :) Lola and Jake.

Jojo and Mac.
Jill would have loved this picture.

3rd Row

Paul and Dawn Clay...are amazing. They are our good friends who hook us up with Zags tickets every year. The students were home for Christmas break so Paul was offered amazing seats in the student section. We brought the kids and sat with Stevo and Nana in the 3rd row. Lola got on the Zags camera twice, Spike came up and waved to her several times, and we were all on tv. It doesn't hurt that we beat the Campbell Camels by 22 points.

Stevo joined Paul and Dawn in their court side seats. Of course Stevo makes friends with Spike and gets him to hug Paul, making Paul feel incredibly uncomfortable. Gotta love it!

Seven Month Stud

Our little Macky-Boy. He is loving rolling balls with Lola, maneuvering himself around a little on his belly, splashing in the water during a shower or bath, loves when people clap or sing to him, he loves stuffed animals, can't get enough of dogs, loves all food, and is such a sweet, happy boy.

A Wadkins Christmas

We had a fun-FILLED four days in Ellensburg, Leavenworth, and Wenatchee, visiting Dan's family, exchanging gifts, and enjoying the holiday season together!

Before any of the gift giving began, we had to take a moment and sing to Grandpa Jack for his 64th birthday. We sang and danced to the Beatles "When I'm 64."
 Hanging with Uncle Andrew.
Helping Grandpa Jack open his present.
Lola and Mac got sleeping bags from Grandma Linda and Grandpa Jack! Pink for Lola and blue for Mac. Lola was so excited to use it at Auntie Beca's house!
Jack's good friend, Keith, stopped by to meet Mac.

We snuck on the side of the stage in Leavenworth during the lighting celebration and watched the high school students sing carols. Lola loved counting down to watch the lights turn on.

Making our way around town. Last year, Lola was so scared of riding in the sled, and this year, she couldn't get enough of it!

 Meeting Grandma Arlene!
We headed up to Icicle Creek to snowshoe with Grandma Linda and Auntie Beca. It was our first trip bringing both Mac and Lola. Both kids loved it, and we're excited to spend more time in the mountains with them!

 Lola's first snow angel :)
Warming up. Such a happy boy.

 Mistletoe kisses for Auntie Beca!
Gingerbread house decorating with Grandma Linda.

Watching the live Nativity in the snow. Lola absolutely loved it. A wise man stopped to talk to her and she went on stage afterwards to get a closer look at baby Jesus.

We ended our trip with lunch at Grandma Marylou's house in Wenatchee. She had saved her nativity to put out with Lola's help. One of Lola's favorite things of the holiday season has been playing with our wooden nativity at home and spotting them around town. She calls it the "activity" :)

Thanks to our wonderful Wadkins family for the visit! Hope to be back soon!
