January Catch-Up

Painting the last of our wooden blocks from Auntie Rach.
Loving our Hi-Ho Cherrio game. Mac's morning nap time has become a great time for Lola and I to play or read together.
 Snack buddies.
Lola has been building some amazing towers lately.
Playing together. Mac is getting better at rolling a ball with Lola. She gets so excited for him, and he loves her clapping.

Lola started SoccerTots two weeks ago with Dan. They are playing once a week and are both really enjoying it! Mac and I love watching and cheering for them. At the first class, all of the kids were sitting on the baseline and Lola was the first to kick her ball into the goal. She made it and all of the other kids cheered for her. She was so proud. Last night, she kept telling me that she's learning how to be a faster runner ;)
Lola has become my bed time helper for Mac's baths. He loves the water and is very patient with her wanting to pour water on him.
I love lazy Sunday mornings when our kids are snuggling in bed with us.
Zag time with Nana and Meeko.

Lola is finding the letter "L" everywhere! The other day she was eating some toast and realized she had made an "L" with her bread. She tells me, "L for Lola!"
 My little artist.
Girls night with Lola. Mac was asleep and Dan was at the GU game, so Lola and I enjoyed some Pho and spring rolls with peanut sauce. I love that my almost three year old can't get enough of spring rolls. I can't believe she's almost three.
Good food, great conversation, cutest girl I know.

EIGHT months

Eight months old? How can that be? I feel like time is going by even faster ever since he was born. I keep telling my kids to slow down and stop growing. Lola responds with, "I'm trying but I just don't know how to do it!" Me either.

Mac-Attack is learning so much. He has almost mastered sitting up, he loves all solid foods that we feed him and he's really good at feeding himself little cheerios. As for crawling, he will life himself up and slide his body backwards, but there's no forward movement yet. And he has one tooth!!! The other one is not far behind, but taking it's time. Mac is really finding his raspy little voice and saying, "mamama, dadada, lalala, nanana, and bubububu." He just started saying "lalala" the other day and when we had Lola come watch and listen to him, she was so excited that he was trying to say her name. She's his other proud mama :)

He is still the smiliest little guy- so ticklish and so happy. He loves to cuddle with us, snuggle with blankies, loves his binkies, and adores his sister. We feel more blessed every day to have this sweet boy in our lives.

Here's that tongue as he says "lalala"
 Check out that tooth!

The Big 2-9

I'm not sure where January has gone already! I'm working on developing a promotional business with my dad, and we've decided to put our house back on the market, so between those big projects and every day life, I have had a hard time getting these blogs done. Time for a quick catch up!

Dan finally caught up to me. After three long months, he's finally 29 too :) We had dinner at Nana & Bub's for his birthday - Rock City Thai pizza. Mac saw him for a few moments before heading to bed, but Lola was awake and totally into the gift giving.

Helping him open his present that she picked out herself. I had asked Lola what she wanted to give Dan for his birthday and she immediately came up with "A game that we can play together." We went to the White Elephant and after looking at all the games, she picked out Hi-Ho Cherrio.
What more could a guy ask for. A great bottle of wine, a new snazzy wine opener, boat shoes, a board game, and to top it all off, a new sled to ride on with his kids. What a grown up!
Lola also helped pick out the dessert and make it with me. Brownie ice cream sundae pie.
Big day, tuckered out girls, but a lot of fun!

Holiday Wrap-Up

The Day after Christmas - Putting the last advent ornament on her tree. She was thrilled to see it was Baby Jesus. This was definitely the season of the Nativity, or as Lola calls it, her "Activity." She absolutely loved playing with it. We put away the Christmas decorations last night and Lola asked where her "Activity" went, and that she would like it to stay out all year.
 Hanging with Quinn.
Mac, loving his feet, and his Nana.
Bubsy Dance Party.
Bub has made up songs for at least as long as I have been alive, but from the stories I've heard, he has been a song writer as long as he has been alive. Lola loves dancing to Bub's songs. It is hilarious.

Quinn couldn't let Lola have all the fun so he joined in too.
 Kisses from Auntie Rachy
 Lola - The Zags Cheerleader

"Those Elves did make this robe so soft for me," says the happy, cozy Lola.
