Birthday Week

We celebrated Nana's birthday with her favorite pizza for dinner, some great wine, and gifts. The kids picked out some bulbs to plant in Nana's yard. When picking them out at Costco, I was explaining how they worked, and that it was a secret we were keeping from Nana. Mac came straight home and told her that we bought her light bulbs. She had no idea what he was talking about :) At the end of Birthday Week, the kids helped her plant them.

For my Bub's birthday, we went to Greenbluff for more pumpkin doughnuts and apple picking. The kids really loved it, and it was a great day to be out there again. We stopped at Trezzi Farm to pick up the BEST Italian food in town for dinner. I can't wait to be their neighbors!

The kids picked out perfect gifts for me. Lola gave me purple sparkly nail polish so we can paint each other's nails together, and Mac gave me cowboy stickers that we can make pictures with together. It was yet again another wonderful birthday week!

October Summer

80 degree days in October - no complaints here! We spent Sunday morning going for a beautiful sunny bike ride on the Centennial Trail and then we spent the afternoon swimming with the Flaherty's and Bennett's. It was so hot and such a great day for swimming. We were all cracking up that we were the only people enjoying the pool on this warm October day!

The kids current favorite book, Apple Farmer Annie, is one that they have been reenacting often. I bought them some play apples so they can keep pretending to pick & sell them at the market.

Nana reading them their second favorite book right now, Room on the Broom

Spending the morning with the Bennett girls. We walked through Riverfront Park and fed the goat, played at the playground, grabbed smoothies at Method, and played on the big red wagon. I love watching them play together. They all get along so well and are so sweet and creative with each other.

Greenbluff 2014

The Flaherty's have been coming to Spokane for a fall Greenbluff trip with us since Lola & Kinslee were 7 months old. This was our FIFTH year out there together. We spent the majority of our time at Siemer's Farm, enjoying the train rides, live music, pumpkin doughnuts, pumpkin picking, and warm sunshine!

The original two :)
