15 Months

Mac's 15 month stats
23.85 pounds,  65th%
32 inches, 80th%

Mac is loving books. He will stop when he sees a favorite book, sit down, and look at it, or bring it to me and say, "Mama, book?" His favorites right now are Goodnight Moon, Hush Little Baby, and Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb.
 Mac's favorite sleeping position.
Loving his new lawn mower, along with any button or knob that he can push, pull or turn. Mac is so busy right now, and as much as we have to keep our eyes on him, he is so incredibly fun right now. And still so sweet.

Palmer Lake Part Two

The last of our long Palmer Lake visit. We were joined by the Nicholas family for the last days.

Swimming & picnicking at Indian Beach - the beach where every rock is
a "perfect skipping rock" as Dan says.
As soon as I pointed a camera her direction, she went immediately posed. What a little ham.

Our driving kids:

The Relaxation Station. Much thanks to the Flaherty's to introducing this to us!

Bub entertained with his ukulele throughout the weekend.
First fishing adventure with Bub. Starting with the worms, Lola was completely entertained!

 First fish!

Nana the fisher woman. Such a natural :)

My Favorite Family

We are having just about the busiest summer I can imagine, and although we are going many places together, I've been feeling that we haven't been actually spending much time together. We had about six days at the lake by ourselves and it couldn't have been better family time. Dan didn't work much while we were there, and the kids absolutely loved having him around to play, swim, and explore with. Palmer Lake is definitely our happy place.

A look I often get, asking me to pick him up and just hold onto him for a moment before he runs off to be busy again. How can you ignore this sweet face?
Every evening while I would put dinner together, Dan took the kids to the lake for a swim. They loved it and are both becoming even more comfortable in the water.

One cloudy afternoon, Lola helped mix up some chalk paint and we experimented on the patio. The kids loved it, and since it was "edible" Mac could easily join in and even taste a little.

So ready to take off on his own. He is loving anything with wheels these days.
Our house has been so hot that I've avoided turning on the oven. Lola and I were loving having air conditioning so we could bake together again!
 Love this sweet, sleeping face.
Just hanging out, watching the deer graze in the yard.
Night one of s'mores. Made them in the microwave. Delicious.
Drawing together during Mac's morning nap.

Night two of s'mores. Lola helped Dan build a fire down by the lake.

Hands down, Lola like the campfire s'mores best.
