Swim Lessons

This year, we signed both kids up for swim lessons at the South Hill Family Aquatic Center, which is a newer county pool. Dan and I both were so impressed with the wonderful instructors there. Both kids absolutely loved their teachers and their classes. Mac continued to love the water, has no fear when it comes to jumping in or putting his face right into it. Lola, who was a bit more fearful, had two instructors who she loved right away and felt extremely comfortable with. It especially good so see her enjoy the water.
Mac, getting ready to jump in as he says, "Again!"
Happily swimming through the lazy river.

We loved how the kids got to see each other during class. Lola rally loved having "the baby" class swim through while they splashed.

Lola on her back. No fear. Amazing!
One more jump for Mac before class ends!

All Dressed Up

My sweet kids. All dressed up for Fyall & Heidi's wedding. Lola, loving her dress as always, and Mac, rocking the bow tie and Converse.
Dan was a groomsman in Rob's wedding, which was at the Seattle Golf Club. What a pretty place, and beautiful day for a wedding.
We stayed an extra night in Seattle to surprise Rachael and James, who had just returned from a trip in Antigua where they got ENGAGED!!! After several flight delays, we scratched our original plan to pick them up at the airport and had a surprise breakfast at one of their favorite breakfast places, the Five Spot.

Cheers to more weddings!!!

The Official Miss Lola

Our first summer trip to the lake this year. Not a lot of sun, but a great, relaxing weekend with Grandma Linda, Grandpa Jack, and Uncle Andrew.
Watching Grandpa Jack on his tractor. Mac kept saying, "Tac-ter!"

 The denim apron buddies!
 Loving the pool together.

One of Lola's favorite things to do at the lake is take a canoe ride with her dad. Probably one of Dan's favorite things too.
 My happy eater.
Lola was sure she couldn't play in the rain without rain boots, but I quickly proved her wrong and we danced and ran in the rain together, having so much fun.

 My running-in-the-rain buddy.
Just another beautiful morning on the lake.

 The Wadkins Boys
"Ta-da!" I finally put the letters on the Miss Lola boat. Grandpa Jack kept saying to Lola, "Gosh, I've never known anyone who a boat is named after. How special!" He decided when Lola was born to name the boat after her. What a special thing for a grandpa to do.
Grandma Linda christened the boat with some champagne that we all shared afterwards. It's official, the boat is "Miss Lola!"
 Loving the water.

Uncle Andrew surprised the kids and came up to the lake for a few days. Lola was still awake when he arrived and was so excited to see him. They love their fun Uncle Andrew!
