Three

Oh Mac, when you were a baby, I thought you were going to be so mellow, and your dad always said, "I don't know, I think this kid is a jokster." I couldn't love your fun-loving, adventurous, energetic spirit more. You are constantly making me smile, laugh, and feel a bit exhausted ;) One thing I have loved seeing in you is your incredible imagination. You are always pretending to be someone- whether it's a cook, fire fighter, doctor, dentist, dad, baby, knight, hunter, dinosaur, dog, reindeer, or Peter Pan, you are constantly creating adventures in your life. I hope you never loose that adventurous, creative side.

You are quite the music lover, and have so much fun dancing and playing instruments. I can always count on you to help me with baking, outdoor projects, cleaning, and anything involving tools. You are loving EVERY sport right now, and want to play everything. You often talk about wanting to learn how to snow ski, water ski, roller skate, ride a scooter, bike, and skateboard. Your energy seems to be limitless! Your best friend is Lola, and you light up when she is around. The two of you play so well together, and as independent as you are, you want to do (almost) everything that she does.

Thank you for loving so intensely, for being such a snuggler, for making us laugh and constantly smile. I wish for you another year of feeling fearless and full of light. Love you, Macky B.

Mac really wanted to spend the morning of his birthday at Riverfront Park, riding the carousel and feeding the goat. Uncle Andrew made it in time to join us!

 Let the football party begin!

When I asked Mac what he wanted to eat for his birthday, he said, "I want to grill hot dogs with Bub and Daddy, and I want corn on the cob and watermelon. Everyone else can have salad."
First family cirthday dinner in our new home! Bub, Nana, Grandpa Jack, Grandma Linda, Uncle Andrew and Uncle Denny all joined!

What wonderful three-year-old gifts you received: A baseball mitt and tee, golf balls, a drum, tools & tool bench. Such fun!

Pre-Party

Mac made grand plans for his third birthday. He decided that he wanted a football birthday dinner, which included a football pinata. (Which he told me that "Uncle Nolan would love this") He told us weeks before that he wanted to go golfing for his birthday with Quinn. When they went to pick him up, Quinn surprised Mac with a his old golf bag and clubs for a three year old. Mac was SO excited! They had a great time golfing (and throwing golf balls into the lake) and for dinner, we went to Pete's Calzones for Night-Before Birthday Dinner!
Football, Golf and Calzones... what a kid!
