Last summer, we went up to the lake to put the boats away for the winter on the last weekend of September. It was in the high 70s, warm & sunny. We took boat rides, canoe rides, and spent a lot of time outside. This year, we went up the same weekend and it was in the 50s/lower 60s, cold, rainy, and we spent a lot of time snuggling inside! I prefer a bit more sunshine, but love Palmer Lake no matter what. We always have such a great time together.
Throwing rocks into the lake together.
Playing in the rain in their new boots.
Inside art time. Lola painted while Mac colored with crayons. He lasted about five minutes before he started eating the crayons and was finished... a huge improvement!
Grandma Linda!!! She came to spend a few nights with us at the lake. The kids loved having play time with her!
Roasting our last marshmallows of the season.
Playing in the rain- who needs a rain jacket and rain boots?
Grilling homemade pizzas. So yummy!
Mac's favorite part of the trip - riding on the lawnmower with Dan. He thinks riding lawnmowers, tractors, and four-wheelers are the greatest thing he's ever seen. This kid will love living in the country.
