Twas the Night Before Christmas

 The day before Christmas, we had a jammy day together, decorated a gingerbread house and making brownies for Santa. After naps, we dressed up and headed to the the children's mass at St. Augustine's. I always love how noisy mass is. Kids are SO bubbly and spirited. Mac & Lola were very excited about all the the Christmas songs they knew that were played. Later we had Mexican takeout at home and the kids got to open their presents from each other before setting out goodies for Santa. I love taking the kids shopping one on one to pick out gifts for others. We went to the White Elephant- a local toy, fishing & hunting store in town- and we check everything out before the kids decide. Mac picked out a Little People Birthday set for Lola to play with, and Lola picked out a miniature red wagon for him to pull his babies around in. Both of them loved their gifts and played with them together for a little while until we headed to bed for the magic to begin.
