Wrapping up the School Year

Oh Hank - You are always along for the ride and happy to be a part of our busy family! You LOVE the bath and get so smiley when I say "splish splash!" In the car, you light up when Lola and Mac sing to you and clap their hands with you. You have had a few favorite songs that we play in the car. Adele's "Hello" was your first fave, then we moved onto Ruth B's "Lost Boy". You've quickly picked up the trick of raising your hands with a big smile when anyone asks, "How big is Hank?" Now, even the kindergarteners at school ask you. You're a hit. Our little Happy Hank :)

The first two weeks of June were FULL of end of the year events! We made our way to Chelan for Griff's wedding- one of Dan's friends and roommates from college. Nana and Bub came with us to babysit, which worked our perfectly for Nana to make it to the Kindermusik concert to watch Mac bring the house down with "Take me our to the ballgame". He definitely has a knack for performing in front of a crowd!

Chelan was such a fun get away. Dan got to bring the kids to see his Uncle Jon's cherry orchard, where he spent a lot of time working in when he was growing up. The kids loved it, and Mac ate his weight in cherries! The wedding was beautiful and it was so much fun to see so many Zags. The kids are party animals and would have loved to have stayed until midnight! The highlight of the trip was heading to Leavenworth on Sunday to meet out FIRST COUSIN! Baby Ariana is perfect and we are all in love with her!

We wrapped up spring swim lessons and have been so happy with the kids progress. Both Mac and Lola will put their face in the water and swim. We're feeling ready for summertime! The boys and I joined Lola's class for their end of the year party at Gonzaga. They walked over with their 4th grade buddies and played water balloon games, soccer, volleyball, and toured around a bit before having popsicles on the walk back to school. Mac loved being a part of the action! Lola truly has been blessed this year with her buddies. Emma and Cadence have been beyond sweet and I believe will be lifelong friends to our whole family. They are wonderful and have made Lola's first year at St. Als extra special! On the last day of school, Mac and I joined the class for the last day of school and walked to mass in the rain! It was a pretty teary goodbye to Mrs. Wells...tears all around! But we celebrated the end of school by going to the bookstore and picking out new special books for summer reading! Now, it's off to the Omaha for our ten day adventure in the Midwest! Whew!
