We are so incredibly blessed to have an amazing lake place to go to. Every summer, we love our time with friends and family, but there is something so special and rejuvenating when just our little family gets to spend time up there alone- even for a few days. The four of us went up to Palmer Lake a few days before we were joined by Morgan and Nolan. Although we were really looking forward to seeing our sweet friends, it was great to have some great quality time together. There were many moments when I caught myself thinking about how this is the last time it will ever be the four of us at the lake together. We made some great memories and I'm extremely grateful for the time to unplug from the world and just be together.
Spending some quality time with my girl. She wanted to draw together, and chose the mermaid fountain as our inspiration. I am looking forward to having her attend half day kindergarten and be home with me in the afternoons. I hope the boys nap well so we can continue to have some quality girl time ;)

Mac caught his first fish!!! He was very excited, but said that he would like to catch more fish with Bub, and he would really like to catch a fish that he can eat. I'd say he's hooked on fishing!
Lola the fisher-girl was proud of her catch, but wasn't interested in kissing or throwing back hers!
