Strawberries and Summer Spokane

After our huge trip to the Midwest, we were due for some quality time enjoying the first part of summer on the prairie! With Nana & Bub still in Illinois, we got to take care of Meeko until their return. The kids always love Meeko sleepovers! Strawberry season was in full swing by the time we got home, and I did not want to miss out on my favorite picking season at Greenbluff! I took the kiddos with the best of intentions to stay and pick as long as everyone would hold out. Hank wanted out of the Ergo but hated crawling on the straw, Mac ate all of the berries he picked, plus some of mine, but Lola was a total champ. Despite the distractions, I was pleased with our loot but planned on sneaking out of the house next week for an early morning in the strawberry patch. Lola awoke just before I was leaving, and since she's such a worker bee, I took her with me to have a girls picking morning!

Aside from the strawberry picking, eating, and loving, we spent the last weeks of June eating on the patio with friends, playing in the yard, swimming with friends, cheering on Mac in summer sports camp, swinging into the sunsets, and hiking on top of Mt. Spokane.
