Tie Dye on the 4th of July

I love our Wadkins family tradition to spend the 4th of July at the Lake with Grandma Linda & Grandpa Jack. We always BBQ, have sparkler dances, and set off fireworks, but this year I wanted to add to the festivities a bit. The kids and I hit up Target for some patriotic bandanas and sunglasses, along with t-shirts to tie dye together at the lake. We spent the day before the 4th dying our shirts and making patriotic puppy chow! Both activities were a success and I believe will become new traditions in the years to come!

Being at the lake is one of my favorite memories I have with Dan. It's where we spent our honeymoon and envisioned what it would be like to return one day with our children. It is where we check out from television, the internet, and our phones, and spend being PRESENT with each other and the beauty around us. I love how much our kids love being at the lake.
