It was so much fun to go back to the town that I was born in, and grew up in until I was eight. I have such fond memories of our time in Lincoln, and was really looking forward to reliving some of these memories with my family. We stayed with Susy, Scott and Liesl. Susy was our next door neighbor on Sheridan and our families have been close ever since. We love them! They got to experience Dan, Lola & Mac's first time seeing fireflies. Totally a highlight of my childhood, and this trip!
We toured through the University of Nebraska's campus, ate Runzas and Valentino's pizza, walked through my old neighborhood where we found our old handprints in the cement, played at the children's museum, and spent a lot of time just being with Susy, Scott, Drew and Liesl. I love watching Drew & Liesl play with my kids. It was a great visit.
Our first house in Lincoln, where we lived next door to Susy & Mary Kay. I remember the house, but not the beautiful neighborhood surrounding it. I definitely get why this house has always been my mom's favorite.
My sick little buddy and I walked through Lincoln while Dan and the kids ate Runzas.
