Starting off Day 2 at Disney with smiley snuggles from our happy babe. He is just so content hanging out in the Ergo and experiencing all that Disneyland has to offer. I am so happy that we decided to make the trip when we did, before he's toddling around. We sent our Magic Morning at California Adventures. (I really love the way you wait at the ticket gate and everyone counts down for the gates to open...there is a lot of waiting at Disneyland but I really love the anticipation in the morning to get into the park and experience almost no waiting for a "Magical" hour before so many others arrive!) Walking through Cars Land is pretty amazing. My personal fave is the Cozy Cone Motel where you can get snacks that are served in cones of all kinds. The kids rode the Mater Towing ride with Dan several times! The we walked through Cars Land and ran into Lighting McQueen and grabbed a few quick photos. The kids loved it.
One of the apps that a friend told me about tells you where certain characters are at what times so you're sure to catch your favorites. We decided to check it out and discovered that Elsa and Anna were hanging out. I had heard that people have waited over an hour to meet them. We walked into the Animation Building and explored around, until someone asked if we wanted to meet the princesses, and directed us to the room that they were in. There was no one else in the building, let alone the line, and we got to spend ten minutes talking to them. I love the way the kids are certain they are truly the real characters and they have conversations about favorites foods, colors, and games they like to play. It's great making friends with princesses ;)
Next up was meeting Olaff. There were lots of warm fuzzy hugs for our favorite snowman. Our next stop was Bugland to ride on the Caterpillar train, and then we made our way to the Disney Jr. show. The kids were very excited about Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We have a serious love for all things Peter Pan, Neverland, and pirates these days. After a break for naps and a quick swim in the pool, we made our way to Disneyland again to stake out a spot for the Paint the Night Parade and eat dinner. The kids were so excited about the characters, the dancing, and the music. It was so fun to get totally wrapped up in the excitement. I love watching our kids light up and totally believe in the magic. I walked back after the parade with Hank while Dan stayed to watch the fireworks with Mac and Lola.
