Lola is 6

"She had this way of always finding the good and believing in everything... And that is what I loved the most- the pure magic of her undying hope."

My little Lola- my sweet girl. You are such a light in this world, and we are so very lucky to call you ours. You are such a positive person who gets excited about the smallest things, and we all cannot help but to contagiously feel the same way! You are incredibly thoughtful and such a kind friend. You have so much faith and belief; you are such a joy. As every year passes, I cannot believe you are a year older. I will always remember the day you were born, being told you were a girl, and the second I held you in my arms, I knew that you were my new best friend. Happy 6th birthday to my new best friend.

Birthday Recap:
Lola had decided for her pre-birthday dinner to eat at the bowling alley...after bowling of course! We let her invite her friend from school, Piper, and her parents to join us. We all had a great time bowling having dinner, and playing a little pool!

On Lola's actual birthday, we started the day with birthday pancakes and a fancy outfit that she wore to school with a "Free Dress Pass" that she had been saving :) Dan took her to school with the shamrock sugar cookies that Lola and Nana made together for birthday treats!

Grandma Linda was in town so when we picked Lola up from school, we all headed downtown for lunch and playing at Mobius.

Nana & Bub joined us for dinner and we all enjoyed a beautiful spring sunset. Lola's menu request was for broccoli, cauliflower, Caesar salad, and quiche. I absolutely adore her birthday dinner requests every year. She definitely knows what she likes! For dessert, she asked for yellow cake with chocolate frosting...something Papa would have adored :)

A few favorite present highlights were the Beanie Bear from Uncle Andrew, Frozen Legos from Mac, and a picnic game from Nana & Bub. Grandma Linda came to town a the day before her birthday and took Lola out to paint pottery together. Such a special treat. She loved it!
A happy birthday for our happy girl.
