Seattle Spring Break

I love our friendship with the Bennett family. We met through Dan and Jesse, who worked together at Lee & Hayes when I was pregnant with Lola. Toni was one of my first "stay at home" mom friends and we were pretty devastated when they moved to Atlanta. Lucky for us, their stay didn't last long and they moved to Seattle... would have loved for them to be back in Spokane but Seattle is totally manageable for plenty of visits and adventures! It is SO much fun to spend time with them and watch our kids get closer.

We spent part of Lola's spring break in Seattle and stayed with the Bennett's. There was no shortage of fun things to do. We took the ferry to Bainbridge to explore, went to Tali's soccer game, and went to the Aquarium and had lunch at Ivar's on Brit's birthday. Spending time at their house and letting them just play was my favorite part. They dress up, pretend, dance, laugh, and read stories together. Mac loved collecting eggs from their amazing backyard chicken coop, and we loved playing in their backyard in the warm spring Seattle sunshine and making s'mores by the firepit.

There was a newfound friendship between Mac and Brit. The two of them are wildly energetic, creative, and full of fun. Toni and I couldn't get enough of their sweet friendship and all of the fun they had together. After we got home, Mac said to me, "Mom, I didn't know that when we would go to Seattle, that I would fall in love with Brit! But I did!"
Totally heart warming! Can't wait to see them again!
